Every website you visit will log your IP address, which can be used by anyone to identify you. If you don't want to spread any information about your identity or location, you should redirect your Internet traffic through a Virtual Private Network (VPN). BartVPN allows you to do this with a single click. It can redirect your connection through a network from another county and as a result, websites will log a different IP address, instead of your own.

It takes a single click to install the application. It works on all modern Windows platforms and it doesn't have any special requirements. BartVPN is available as a freeware application, but it comes with ads and restricted functions. If you want additional features and no ads, you must pay a monthly or yearly fee.

All you have to do is click a button, located on the application's compact user interface, and your connection will be rerouted through a server from another country. The application will place a small icon on your web browsers, which lets you know if you are protected or not. While your connection is rerouted, you will be able to surf the web without leaving your real IP address on all websites you visit. Besides protecting your identity, the application can also block ads, if you hit an on/off switch on the application's interface.

BartVPN allows you to decide what server should be used to protect your connection. You can find multiple servers, from different countries, in a drop menu, on the same interface, but on a different tab. Once you select a server, the application will establish a connection to that server right away, without prompting you for anything.

The software can protect your identity, regardless of which applications connect to the Internet. It will redirect the traffic for various browsers, instant messengers, media players or other programs and it allows you to add your own applications to the list.

Pros

You can redirect your Internet traffic with a single click. The application allows you to choose from a variety of servers, from different countries.

Cons

The free version has a few limitations and it will place additional ads on the websites you visit. While BartVPN is running on your computer, you can visit any website you want, without giving away your real identity.
